Youth Consultation
Peterborough Youth Service
2003 - 2004 Report
The Process
The process of the work that is done at the Young People’s Office starts with
the general interest of young people in giving their views and opinions on
decisions that affect them. Through getting involved the opportunity to be
included in events becomes possible, and gives them the ability to challenge and
question the way things can be done. Supporting the inclusion of other young
people benefits young people as a whole, and the Young People’s Office generates
success through more people raising awareness. The Young People’s Office is
framed in Youth Work, and voluntary relationships with non-government and
government organisations. Young people have a general interest in being involved
and developing useful partnerships with other people. The general process for a
young person is simply to want to be part of helping other young people to give
their views and opinions.
